Loved it
A great book told by the people who knew him. if you didn't already love Stevie Ray Vaughan before this book, you will when you're done. And if you are in the alcohol and substances struggle, you will be truly inspired. An incredible book about an incredible man.

Informed but awkward listen
It was a great history of this man but done in a very different style. The story was read by a whole variety of people who knew him and work with him. This, along with an overall narrator. I found it quite irritating at the beginning and almost didn’t choose to continue. However, I persisted and overall found it quite interesting.

The story behind the music
I’ve been listening to SRV since the 80s. I remember being on my way to work to my summer job out of University when I heard the news of his death. I was speechless. Stevie was one of a kind. You knew he was plugged into a greater source when communing with the music. I’m glad to have had the chance to glimpse into his life through the eyes of his friends and family. Makes the music even better, if that’s even possible.
