Once upon a time, Maggie Cooper lived for adventure. Jumping out of planes was child’s play. Now she can’t even work up the nerve to ask out her coworker. For a bit of self-therapy, she begins to text her recently deceased mother’s phone - the only problem is that the number has been reassigned and for weeks she’s been unknowingly texting a stranger her deepest thoughts and feelings. There have also been some not-so-deep texts, like the ones about her appreciation for her coworker’s butt.

When Chase Beckett, the unsuspecting stranger who has more in common with Maggie than he’d like to admit, texts back, Maggie is beyond mortified. But message after message and night after night, Maggie realizes that Chase’s wit, charm, and advice are exactly what the doctor ordered. Is it enough, though, to get her back up in the sky? And what about her heart? Can she risk taking a leap of faith for the man on the other end of her accidental texts?

I loved the story and apparently was in the right mind to listen to it. I love so much Maggie and Chase, however so many other character made me want to skip until they were gone that it took me more time to get through the story than it usually would've been. But all in all it was so good for my soul !

While I thought it would be a nice palette cleanser, I was very surprised. While grief was a main theme, the author did a great job portraying it. It was deep, but with enough humor for it not to get heavy.

Definitely would recommend.

As a dark romance reader I was worried this would be to cutesy, but wow I’m blown away the character build up is amazing you get to know each character so well !! But I definitely didn’t expect to cry through most of this book, happy tears, gut wrenching sobs….. I couldn’t turn this off!! Listening to the crazy stunts was my favourite part as I secretly hoped the characters fall in love the spice was definitely pg and I’d highly recommend this book to teens struggling with grief of loosing a loved one……… my favourite character is definitely the dog lol

This book covers to people dealing with grief and their way of finding love through it all. Warning you want to cry and laugh, and it will make you feel some thing. 🥹🥹🥹 love this book so much.

Very interesting Meet Cute, but I loved it. Story was simple but sweet. It did touch on various ways people deal with grief, even how people can be discriminating against elderly relationships (like it's a taboo, which it shouldn't be).

A central theme of the book is grief. Standalone. the book is good, but considering how it handles grief while keeping it's positive mood, I'd say it's a very good book.

Perhaps it can be a bit powerful for some, but overall I found it a very good reflection of real life.

The performer does a good job, especially with a calming voice that makes the book relaxing to listen to

Love the narrator. Love the story. What an easy listen. A lot of emotions but SO good and I don’t normally listen to this type of book. It was so good! Looking for more with narrator and author!
