I was picking out titles based on narrators and I was on a Chris Chambers kick, and since I love Eliot’s writing AND love shifters and fake-dating/marriage tropes I was like, this one is a no brainer!
I also ADORED Dimitri so much. He was such a seggsy book boyfriend and I thought Chris Chambers did a great job bringing him to life. This book also made me crave Eastern European food so badly lol 😂
So I haven’t read any of the rest of the series (did snag 1-3 on audio tho!) and this one was super and I’ll be reading more from the series, no question.
So the book.
Brook is a high placed gay omega werewolf son of an Alpha CEO who expects nothing but the best when he hands over the reins to the company. Brook has had his parents force matches upon him in an effort to control him and his future but to protect his own interests, he hires a known criminal Alpha, Dimitri, to take a shady money-for-mate bond deal so that he can finagle his way to the top and take over the company with a strong Alpha partner in place.
Dimitri isn’t even gay, but he’s willing to do whatever it takes to get the money.
It’s dislike to lovers, fake relationship, mating before falling in love type nonsense that you just can’t resist. It’s two delicious idiots who made a deal and ended up liking each other and I for one am HERE for it.
There’s this shower/f1nger1ng scene… listen. I almost blacked out.
