Description

"For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be earthquakes in divers places, and there shall be famines and troubles: these are the beginnings of sorrows." (Mark 13:8)

When agent Joshua Stone is called to a high-level meeting at the Department of Homeland Security, he learns about a new global order which will be transitioning into power. Stone is read in on the plan for a single planetary government and a worldwide cashless currency, which will step in to fill the void left by the failing monetary system.

To win wide acceptance by the nations of the world, the old system must first be allowed to fail, bringing about a state of global chaos never before seen by mankind. Once desperation has taken the place of pride and hubris, humanity will beg for the proposed one-world empire led by the charismatic tech guru Lucius Alexander.

The United States will fall without a single shot being fired.

While still considered a sovereign nation under the new global charter, America is required to make some major adjustments in order to fit in. One of the mandatory changes comes in the form of oppressive firearms restrictions.

Agent Stone is tasked with infiltrating a group of anti-government nationalists to monitor their activities in the wake of the new gun ban. But what he learns from the group while working undercover causes him to question if he is on the right side of the fight.

Shame on the author & Audible

The premise of this story is interesting. The author had a good opportunity to flush out a interesting/fairly unique storyline, Unfortunately the author chose put forth his agenda for Christianity. I found the preamble to the chapters very interesting and for the most part integral. The chapter preambles consist of quotes from the Bible. I found them to be (for the most part) credible to the story. But, references to going back to church, getting in touch with God, and finally public education as a vehicle for putting forth a communist agenda was just too much to handle. A good story, a good premise, pretty good writing, Unfortunately, with an agenda on the authors part, and Audible mis-classifying this as Ssci-Fi & Fantasy, Post Apoctalptic book. This book should be classified as a Christian, Apoctalptic, Post Apoctalptic book. The book in several parts made me uncomfortable but the premise & writing were interesting enough that I continued reading. At 3 hours and 19 minutes remaining, I could not go any farther when public schools are equated to “Communist training camp”. At that point the overwhelming feeling of an aggregate Christian agenda and that statement became waaaay to disturbing. I felt overwhelmingly manipulated. BTY, finally, as the wife of a multi state/federal agency undercover I can honestly say that the author SERIOUSLY needs to work/research family interactions/reactions of undercovers. The closest familiarity would be multi-deployment/special opps soldier families. That reality does not line up with his storyline or agenda.

Think the U. S. has money problems?

If you answer yes read this book. We should all know by this time there's a push toward a global government, why not a global currency? Many liberals have been brainwashed by the mainstream media into believing that conservative, Christian, constitution believing Americans are very dangerous. It recently has come to light that many in our own government feel that way. The concept of the government turning against its citizens to fulfill a global agenda is not too far-fetched. Ripped from today's headlines and interpreted through biblical prophecy this work of fiction should cause the reader to ask, "what if"? I certainly look forward to what I assume will be two more books in the series.

Another Awesome Book That Deserves Your Attention

Mark Goodwin has produced another great story that can be considered prophetic due to the current worldwide situation that we currently face. Although this book doesn't involve a pandemic, the United States and the world will face unimaginable challenges in the next few months that will be of biblical proportions.
Mark's use of the Bible's scripture is invaluable and although some may deny the truths that are revealed in the scriptures, the Bible warns of the exact same issues that we face today! A one world government, a cashless society, the "mark" of the beast, distractions, disarmed citizenry, famine, and so much more! While the story is very entertaining and I can't wait for the next book, it makes me want to reread the most important book of all, the Bible!

too god damn religious

kevin peirce is a wonderful narrator and narratorates some really good books... but the bible verses and religion gets old. the dialogue and personalities are completely unrealistic in these types of scenarios.

Love his books

This one was too short. Love his stories, I am often surprised at the turn of events. I can usually figure out what is going to happen, but Goodwin is a master. Must get the next in the series. He never disappoints.
