Satan beguiled Eve to eat of the tree in the garden by convincing her that she was insufficient.
In the Book of Genesis, we see that God created man and woman in his image and his likeness. But, Satan seduced Eve to eat of the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil, saying her eyes would be opened and she would "be like God". The beguiling being she already was, she didn't have to do anything to "be like God".
