This book was so sweet. I thought it was a great follow up to the Siren of Sussex. The "plot twist" (if it was supposed to be that) was pretty obvious, but it didn't take away from all of the character development and relationship building. I LOVED seeing Julia and Jasper grow together. I think this series is going to become a comfort read that I keep coming back to. Loved it.

The story was well written but I was very disappointed with the constant uses of the Lord’s name in vain as well as other swearing and an excess detail of sex intimacy.

I cannot get enough of this series. The performances were great, especially given I generally find two narrator’s disruptive. The story is utterly engrossing - Julia and Jasper’s journey was just as compelling as Evie and Ahmad’s.

The male narrator is fine for Jasper’s part but he makes all the other male voices nasal and whiny. At first, I thought he was giving whiny voices to the villains but then I realized that even main characters from previous novels also had whiny voices and it was really annoying.
