Their efforts are hampered by Lady Horst’s lawful claim to the land, her armored guards, and her open disdain for the Church’s tardy response, creating friction between ecclesiastical duty and noble prerogative, prayer and practical security. A measured story of evidence, conviction, and steadfast resolve against an old, marsh-born evil.
