So when it’s discovered that Madeline Frobisher, one of Amita’s fellow regulars at the bingo club has died, found by the postman outside her crumbling country home close to Ullswater Lake, she senses immediately this is no accident. Unique Amateur Sleuth Pairing

What an unusual amateur sleuth pairing! A mother-in-law and her daughter's husband are a great combination. This is a cosy, contemporary mystery set in the Lake District of England. There are great, wonderfully drawn and portrayed, secondary characters, too. In a mystery, the secondary characters are so important to its success. The interactions between the characters is brilliant and believable. Sid Sagar did a superb job bringing this book to life. Thank you to both the author and his narrator. This is the first Jonathan Whitelaw I have listened to. I'm going to listen to another one. Highly recommended.
