I have enjoyed this book since first reading it as a teenager. Even the astoundingly insipid and inept performance by David Case wasn’t enough to stop me listening. If I had the time I would prefer to sit down with the book, but alas.
The setting historically accurate, with romance drama and detail craftily woven throughout by Costain.
