This was a great listen. I enjoyed the story, as I have all the books in this series. The story was engaging and well written. My lower star rating is due to the narrator. I don’t know how old she actually is, but she reads this book like someone’s granny doing a bedtime story. The slightly wobbly voice that sounds randomly breathless, the random change in pitch getting high and fluttery.
There’s a difference between reading a book out loud and narrating it.
This is just a book being read to you.

I have read and listen to all the books in the series. I'm sad that it's over but the ending was perfect. Very easy read.

I’ve read all the books in this series and love the way this one ended. Such a great interwoven story of the Owens family throughout all four books. Sad it’s over but will read more of Alice Hoffmans books for sure.

I was over the moon to listen to this! love Alice Hoffman and her writing style. I have faithfully listened/read most of her books. This one didn't disappoint.

I wasn't overly crazy about the narrator. But that was just due to my own personal preference.

I love many things about this series: it’s engaging, descriptive, and the stories are enjoyable. The books are written in a way that brings them to life.

It’s unfortunate that there are several inconsistencies in the storyline. Important details vary from one book to the next (e.g., a character is hit by a car in one book, but later described as killed by lightning). These (seemingly) minor details wouldn’t matter so much if the books weren’t about the same characters, but in this case it detracts from the overall experience.
