Description

Keeping a secret this big is going to take lots of balls. Specifically, rugby balls.

The Cad

Bryan Leech is a cad.

Or, he was a cad.

No one is quite certain.

Once the quintessential playboy, Bryan claims he's done with wild parties and weekend benders. No more one night stands leading to mornings he can't remember; no more binges and blackouts; no more exploits plastered all over the tabloids and rag sheets. According to Bryan, he's cleaning up his act.

The only problem is, no one believes him.

The Co-ed

Eilish Cassidy never thought she'd be a mother at 19 or still in college at 24. Cut off from every member of her family except her favorite cousin, she's finally managed put her life back together. Stronger and wiser, Eilish enters her last semester of university determined to stand on her own. Now she just needs to find an internship.

The only problem is, her best option - by far - places her directly in the path of her son's father, and he doesn't remember her at all.

The Plan

Bryan is determined to prove he's changed. Eager to settle down with the right woman, he's got his sights set on the gorgeous redhead who seems terribly familiar.

Eilish is determined to hide her secret. She'll do anything to keep her child safe, even if that means ignoring her own wishes and desires.

But what happens when Bryan starts to remember? And what will it take for Bryan to convince the girl he forgot that she's unforgettable?

Male Narrator

I'm not sure if the man was reading or legit experiencing these things but damn he's freaking good.

Awful Narrators

The male narrator's affectation of the female Irish voices makes them sound like ancient, blue-blooded leprechauns. And the female narrator draws out every word even when it isn't appropriate. During love scenes it can work, but it doesn't need to be EVERY WORD throughout the book.

As for the story, the main girl was infuriating. The cousin's behavior seemed completely out of character with how he acted in the previous book. And the miscommunication about the custody case was taken to absurd lengths.

4 The Cad and the Co-Ed Stars

Ok so I really wasn’t sure what to expect with this book. I knew the players but I wasn’t really invested until about chapter 5ish. Bryan is a player on the team that Sean and Ronan play on and he is the “Cad” a player a womanizer. Who finds time self-drunk a lot and well he doesn’t remember most of that time in his life. He is now reformed and in AA.

Eilish is Sean’s cousin we meet her in book 2 a little bit, and she and Bryan hit it off only he doesn’t remember.

And well things happen and a few years later now that Bryan is sober, she has somethings she needs to tell him.

It really is a great story of strength and overcoming for both of them.
I do think my favorite part was getting to see Sean take on the brother roll for Eilish. I really liked Sean’s book and it felt natural that he was in this one the way that he was.

Great narration I am a huge fan of the accents swoon worthy right there!

*You don't have to like my review but its 100% my opinion, and I am allowed to have it.*

Was expecting for comedy ( was listed under romantic comedy)

I enjoyed the story for the most part the couple had problems to work out ( of course ) but I enjoyed the interaction that went on with the cousins and so forth but when it was wrapping up just wish they would have giving the grandma that what’s what( her mom not his) and wish would have had a reunion for his mom with grandson . Otherwise I did enjoy the story just wanted more comedic respite

Makes me cry everytime

I loved this book the first time. I love it now. When Innever had the privileges Eilish has with raising Patrick, those deep feelings of fear and love are so deeply true. They each struggled and learned on their own, became better people for themselves. Especially Bryan. he wasn't saved and changed by a woman. she was merely the final puzzle piece to his life. while there are several moments I could slap both, each had valid reasons and learned from it in the end.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: George Allen and KC Sheridan are the best narrators in the business. I could listen to then forever and they are the main reason I listen to the audiobooks more than I read the actual books. 💚💚💚💚💚💚💚

DNF ! Hated the FMC

Ugh. I am probably the minority here but I hated the FMC. She had absolutely no backbone although the author tried to make her seem strong . She was soo in lust with this guy even 5 years later, she was constantly acting dumb , stuttering, or just plain avoiding him. Where is the growth in this girl ? She’s a mother for god sake and still acting like a lost puppy in front of him . I gave up half way when she told him her secret and asked why he wasn’t angry or yelling ?? Ughhh... where’s your anger? Where is your pride and integrity ? Once again, no strength . She was such a boring character with no depth . I couldn’t get pass her story . I didn’t care much for Bryan either so I DNF.

I did like Sean though. He was the strong one in the family .
