À propos de cet audio

Penguin presents the audiobook edition of The Chalk Man by C. J. Tudor, read by Andrew Scott and Asa Butterfield.

None of us ever agreed on the exact beginning.

Was it when we started drawing the chalk figures, or when they started to appear on their own?

Was it the terrible accident?

Or when they found the first body?

A very strange book but I found it intriguing and well written. The narration by both Adam Scott and Asa Butterfield was splendid.

I liked it

I really enjoyed this interesting story. I loved that I thought I knew "who did it" and then, of course, it wasn't that simple. The narrator used great voices which made the characters come alive. I would definitely read another book by this author.

A Great Story!

Wasn’t a fan... too many things didn’t add up. The story dragged on and plot twists felt more like plot holes. I had much higher expectations for this.

Lacked suspense

The plot was excellent with plenty of twists and surprises with an ending that made a tingle run down my spine. The only thing that threw me about this audiobook was that the two narrators, who are voicing the exact same character at two different times in his life, had different accents (English and Irish respectively) which was pretty strange. Other than that I didn't mind either narrator at all. Would definitely recommend!

Great!

The book was okay, the character set up was great and I really enjoyed Asa Butterfield’s interpretation and voice.

Then we get to 2016 with Andrew Scott . His voice was so bland, boring and mumbling it was grating to my ears. I had to listen to his segments over and over again to understand what he was saying.

Okay thriller but bland voice acting
