Returning to town after a weekend on their ranch in Montana, James and Connor Andderson learn firsthand that the dead are coming back to life. Tank finds himself amidst a group of survivors heading north, but their convoy is stopped dead in its tracks when they're ambushed by a gang of ruthless killers. Escaping the attack, Tank and two others are hunted through Wyoming by the bloodthirsty Reclaimers.
As the virus spreads across America, the remaining survivors must band together to fight not only the walking dead, but the living as well. Their journey to the Alaskan wilderness is met with constant hardship, betrayal, and death. But as the world crumbles around them, they will come to realize they cannot lose what makes them human.

God, guns, and more god.
It was a typical zombie survival story with an extra large serving of god in every chapter.

Overall great story
There was nothing to dislike - would like the story to continue - so only thing I can say is wrong is that I wish it went on more

it was worth it to read Langer MD's review "GOD, GEAR AND GUNS". It sums it up eloquently and is a far better read than the books.

loved this series
I loved this series. it kept me on the edge of my seat. thanks to the authors and narrators I have become a major fan of audio books. I'm a hard fella to please with genre and this hit every single point for me!! well done

Great story but the writing was horrible!
I was seriously counting how many times he said the words…so and so “said” more than I was listening to the story at one point! The story was great, but you didn’t need to be told who said what at the end of EVERY SINGLE SENTENCE! It really took away from the story. Beyond that I enjoyed it.

Not bad but I didn't signed up for this when I've choose these books.
I've made it until the end and I'm still wondering how I did it. Story's good but one more book would have been too much.
I have nothing against religious belief and for the first books, it wasn't so bad. Then, instead of the usual "God will make sure that.... yadayadayada" that we have in "regular" books, it got more heavy and we've started to get full prayers and even some "divine" experiences.... If I remember correctly since I was in denial at that moment and I didn't got all my attention. As if the autor wanted to wait until we were hooked to the story to blast us with his religious message. I even got back to the details of this serie to see if I had missed anything about it but even if I've read the reviews, I've never thought it would go so far. No offense but it made me feel like the author was trying to shove the religion down our throats or as an attempt to enroll the readers in his cult.
Sincerely,it wasn't that bad but it was just too much and it got really annoying. It ruins my pleasure for the last 2 books. Religions were (and still are) the sources of so many problems in the world that we don't need to get good zombie's stories to be wrapped up with them.
Zombies are there to test basic survival skills, nothing else. 😉

Good Story
Good story, a lot of religion though... reader needs some more emotion. Author needs a thesaurus and needs to look up said! uses it a LOT! all together he said she said he said. how about replied, smiled, laughed.... lots of other words to use than said over and over in a paragraph!

Great story with great narration
I loved the story and character development. Also, the narrator did an excellent job with the different characters and has a nice voice to listen to.

The performance made the story. completely engrossed into the world. All the best qualities of the genre.
It's predictable but in a very comforting way. Fans of post-apocalyptic fiction will not be disappointed.
