(Quick note re narrator Richard Ferrone: PERFECT choice to embody the now-famous detective. Oh! And, the narrator did an EXCELLENT job, voicing other characters! :-) :-) :-) )
Great to be reminded by this 1928 novel why Dashiell Hammett is considered one of the True Greats :-) :-) :-)
Surprisingly realistic, too, including dialogue and behaviours :-) Could have easily been released as 3 separate books within a series. I VERY MUCH appreciate Hammett not making me wait to find out what happens next :-) :-) :-) ALSO, he's done what many authors would not have been /aren't capable of: he kept me interested and fully engaged THROUGHOUT the book :-) :-) :-)
