Not sure why it was hailed as such a thriller. It’s slow and I don’t normally review the performance but it wasn’t gripping either.

Some questions definitely left unanswered! Agree it was slow going, but enjoyed hearing about the dynamics in South Africa in the 80s so did enjoy the plot. Ending was a surprise.

Shouldn’t have to wait for the epilogue for a conclusion and climax. 7 hours is way too long of a lead in!!!

I found the story had no real depth or direction. I didn't finish it.

It was pretty long and nothing really happened. It was not very exciting and some of the sub plots went nowhere. Strange story that needed some editing.

The author wasted the story line with unnecessary descriptions that did not add, in fact made the story drag. The narrator sounded like a news reporter with a monotone voice. However, he had good accents for some of the locals. The ending was dull and predictable.

I hated the voice of the narrator… got on my nerves. It distracts from the story which drags.

I have 3 hours left in this book and if it wasn't for my compulsive nature to complete things, I probably wouldn't continue listening. I would not recommend, the store is all over the place and too many things are implied or suggested, makes it confusing to follow.
