À propos de cet audio
All Diana Penn wanted was a quiet retirement. What she got was a chance to rewrite history.
When a demolition crew uncovers unexploded WWII bombs in a quiet Northumberland park, retired MI6 agent Diana Penn instantly senses danger. But before she can act, the bombs detonate.
Instead of peace, Diana wakes up in December 1944, in the body of her younger self: a Land Army girl posted in a seemingly sleepy English town. Beneath the wartime camaraderie and village gossip, predators lurk and suspicious activities hint at dangers far greater than German spies.
Armed with knowledge of the future and the instincts of a seasoned operative, Diana must race to prevent catastrophe. Because this time, dying isn't the end—it's only the beginning.
A gripping wartime thriller with a time-bending twist, The Deadly Life of Diana Penn is a powerful new addition to the acclaimed Middle Falls universe.

How tedious. How overwrought. How actually boring. Where did Shawn come in here? I can pick up and listen to one of his books full on, front to back in one go. Then again because I loved it and it seemed magical.
This doesn't. It's boring, redundant and tedious. I've been trying to get though it all week. I'm either so damn frustrated with Diana's lack of "intelligence", after she's spent a lifetime in Intelligence- or just frustrated with the storyline. I love war stories. I'm quite familiar
Come on-- if you KNOW your mother is going to die on the same day and time and you don't hate your mother- you'll bloody well come up with something to save her...even if it means tying her hands together, covering her mouth so she can't argue, and loading her in your vehicle, driving her out of harms way. She can forgive you or not, she'll be alive. Why let it happen over and over again? Why not at least TRY?
Diana doesn't, she just soldiers on. She hasn't learned anything, hasn't progressed much emotionally, and if she does I won't know...
What does she learn from this?
I'm not sure as I'm too bored to listen to the last 1/4 of the book. There's absolutely no magic, no wonder, no learning and no payoff.
Absolutely hate it.
Tediously not at all like a Middle Falls book.
