An Epic story
Such an amazing series. This book almost broke me, at a few points I was so angry I had to stop the book, only to restart it a few minutes later because I had to know what happened next. I see so many parallels to what is going on in our world right now. It’s is gut wrenching and really makes you think. Truly an epic read. I love the characters, the world that has been created and I can’t wait for the next instalment.

Loved it but not my favorite of the series
The part about the moon thrall was a little too long for my liking but still I really enjoyed this book can't wait for the other one. It will be a long wait.

not the biggest fan of the structure.
the story it self is amazing as is all character development from our main leads. however the structure in which it is told is odd.. so much seems to take place in the sixth month much like the last book. so it take so long to catch up with eloren and for the events of the story to actually move forward.

Fantasy pure and simple
I really enjoyed this series. As the story and characters developed I was pulled in and had a hard time stopping. If you enjoy fantasy magic and sorcery this series is for you

fight the demon tide!
I loved this book, it made me cry, it broke my heart and it got me frustrated, but at the end of the day it was all worth it. I also love the narrator, she's great specially when she's doing heart breaking dialogs, you can feel it all. I look forward for the next one

Best of the Series
Oh how I love this series of books. This by far was the best of them all! The narrator makes this such a thrilling audiobook! So colorful and vivid it feels like I just watched a movie.

It’s not done yet?
I truly have enjoyed this series and was super excited when Demon Tide was released. To finally see the Black Witch save Earthia! But alas, nope .. I’ve been left hanging again and have to wait til 2023. That was incredibly disappointing! Don’t know if I’m even interested any more. 😔

Packed With Romance And Action
There is a LOT in this book, and it was definitely worth the long reading time. THE DEMON TIDE sets the stage for powerful moments of love and loss as Elloren and her friends prepare for the fight of their lives.
Elloren is still developing slowly, but is coming into herself and her confidence. She goes through a lot in this book, especially at the end, so I appreciate that she does her best with the information she has and the struggles she faces as literally most of the realms are turned against her.
Much of the book is split between Elloren and other side characters as they struggle to band together when they need to most. Literally every side character, old and new, is given a moment in the spotlight, no matter how much impact they have on the story. While this is great for characters who bask in different romances, I do have to say that it felt unnecessary. A good chunk of the last act is dedicated to romantic subplots that could have been cut out for a tighter novel. They're not badly written, but they didn't serve the plot save for emotional investment.
That said, I do appreciate emotional investment. Because when this book hits, it hits hard. The action scenes, and the ending in particular, put the heroes through the emotional and physical wringer. No one is safe and the lengths Elloren will go to in order to protect those she loves are truly extraordinary.
As with the last book, Laurie Forest continues to favour certain words and sentence structures that make some of the writing predictable and a little melodramatic. That said, I love the weight she was working to get across and definitely understand how high the stakes are.
This is a fun, magical YA series with so many races and so much creativity. The ending is going to be a wild ride and I can't wait to see how it all comes to a close!

Sadly representative of our present world
A great way to show how horrific and brutal the consequences of hate and bigotry unfold. Also great characters and compelling plot. Great series
