À propos de cet audio
With the queen dead, we thought our troubles were over—turns out, they've only just begun.
Dragon eggs have been stolen. War looms on the horizon. And my prince—my lover—has asked me to be fitted for new dresses.
As the kingdom teeters on the edge of chaos, my prince struggles to hold it together. He's forcing Flynn into the role of Duke of Skane, pushing Brom away despite their love, and as for me? I was never meant to be queen-in-waiting, yet now it seems I may have no choice.
Nevermere has always been ruled by queens—human and dragon alike. I won't stand by and watch men decide the fate of our kingdom. If becoming the Dragon Queen is what it takes to save my people, then so be it.
But can I save my country without losing the men I love?
©2025 Sam Hall (P)2025 Podium AudioThe female leader was portrayed as little more than a child. Every time it seemed like she was about to do something remarkable, she faltered and regressed. The storyline felt unnecessarily stretched, without adding real depth or progression. I also see no logical reason why they couldn’t have been publicly together from the beginning of part three.
By then, secrecy had lost its purpose and began to suffocate the story’s momentum. When hiding no longer sharpens tension or reveals character, it turns into needless restraint. Let them stand openly. Let consequences follow. That’s when the story truly comes alive.
A female leader endowed with power in theory but marked by emotional regression in practice repeatedly undermines her own authority. The narrative continually hints at growth—suggesting she will rise and take command—only to pull her back into childish hesitation. What could have been complexity instead becomes stagnation. When growth is delayed for too long, it erodes rather than deepens the character.
Hopefully, her other works are better written and supported by well-developed plots. While the story wasn’t bad, book three fell short of the expectations it set.
Anyways, to each their own. Just my honest review.
The female lead or the storyline, not sure which got me…
