I enjoy listening to my audio books when doing chores, driving, etc. but I found it impossible to hear what the characters were saying anytime a scene was whispered. Either that or I had to listen to it at uncomfortable levels. Also changing the reader between books doesn't work, having Macro and Cato sound different every book is annoying.

I was not a fan of Macro's voice in the beginning, but it slowly grew on me. Great addition to the story of our centurions. No misty isles of Briton or salty waters of pirate infested sea, but instead an arid wasteland populated by brigands and danger.
