I could have kept reading about Lucy and Lockwood and George and Holly and kips and even the skull for another five books. As always, the story had a great pace, kept you very engaged, and I struggled to turn off the book because it was just so good. I really would’ve loved to have seen the next chapter in their life after this book. I really really loved the series.

Another great Lockwood and Co story but sad to see it end

The book is very well written and leaves you hopefully that the author will write more to the series it end well just wish for more. Narration was well done.

These books are wonderful. The writing is touching, funny, terrifying, and warm. Emily Bevan embodies each of Jonathan Stroud's fully realized, lovingly flawed characters. If you love great stories and word- perfect writing, listen!!

I really enjoyed the surreal paranormal world that Stroud created in this series. The characters were well developed and the story evolved over the series in a thrilling and enjoyable way.

Liked the story, didn't appreciate the profanity. I really enjoyed the first four books but the fifth book seemed to have to much of the proverbial fly in the ointment. (Profaning Deity) Disappointing as I had sought out this author due to enjoying another series of his.
The narration was good, but would have been better had it been consistent throughout the series. Three different narrators in the series.
