This book is an incredible exploration of magic within our world. Of people coming into their true selves. Of a time in Paris that was so singular. And it is told theatrically and excitingly and beautifully by the narrator.

Exciting theatrical book and performance

This book has so many tropes bundles together it's a wonder the author managed to get them all together. On top of that, the narrator trots out the worst French accent I have ever heard. This book was recommended so many times on BookTok that I decided it was worth trying. What a mistake. BookTok has given me so many great recommendations so I was very disappointed that this book was so highly recommended. I am sorry I wasted a credit on this book and I suggest that you do not. I couldn't make it past Chapter 17. DNF.
