The End Times

Here is what this book is about in a nutshell: Jesus Christ is coming once, not twice, at the end of the age.

Jesus Christ is coming visibly, not secretly.

The Lord Jesus comes in great glory and great power on the Day of the Lord to rapture His church.

This biblical doctrine is clear and unmistakable. I’ve divided this book into four sections: The 2nd Coming of Jesus Christ, The Rapture of the Church, The Day of the Lord, and A Historical Review of End-Time Beliefs. The secret coming of Jesus was first taught in the 1830s by John Nelson Darby and the Plymouth Brethren movement.

It was spread by people like Arno Gaebelein, C. I. Scofield, D. L. Moody, Lewis Sperry Chafer, H. I. Ironside, and John Walvoord (among many others).

Darby wanted to separate the church from Israel and the grace of God from the kingdom of God, so he developed a very sophisticated system of prophetic interpretation that made everything about Israel and the Jews, and relegated the church to a defeated end-time group. I want to give you hope.

You CAN understand end-time doctrine.

It doesn’t have to be confusing and filled with complicated charts.

I really believe this book presents simple and straightforward truths that all Christians should know.

Any books on eschatology (end-times) that make everything about Israel, the mark of the beast, Antichrist, and the Great Tribulation are moving you away from the real focus of God’s purposes.

The glorious appearing of the Lord Jesus Christ on the Day of the Lord is the central event of the Bible that ends “this age” and begins “the age to come.” He comes on this day to give us new bodies that will live forever without sin, sickness, or suffering. May the Spirit of the living God give you wisdom and revelation as you study the Word of God and this book.
