I've been a fan of Laura's writing for a very long time. Not only are her books hot, angst and ultimately satisfying, but her writing style is compelling, poetic, sympathetic, enlightening, and just plain beautiful. In this case, Samantha Brentmore brings both male and female characters to life with such skill and range, that I found myself replaying sections to be sure that it wasn't actually a male actor ( he shows up for the epilogue). I can not praise this story, or performance highly enough. Listening to a book I already love performed is simply a joy.
