Using an experimental machine, Samuel Kaine narrowly escapes the destruction of Earth, only to end up on a planet of human-like beings without emotion. Upon finding him, they mentally scan Samuel’s brain for information; an act that would alter the very fabric of their society.

One by one the natural fears and flaws humans possess begin to infect the minds of the blank-slated species like a virus, birthing the desire for control and security to take hold as their new baseline thoughts.
