Unfortunately I have only one more book to go and the series is over. Love the narration, love the story, love the characters, as always love the author, HATE that I am nearing the completion of this story and it’s characters.

There is nothing I dislike about this story. Jane Hawke is a great character and I don't usually like reading stories where the hero is a woman but in this case she is my heroine.

Elizabeth Rodgers, the narrator is truly amazing, she performs all characters so well you'd think there were a bunch of narrators. I could listen to her all day her voice is smooth and silky and very sexy and this is coming from a gay man. Her make voices are more than believable they are down right real.

Dean Koontz has written anither Jane Hawke novel and I dread the day it comes to a close, but I hope they never do. I hope she stops running from the bad guys as I think it's taking a toll on her character but it's taking a toll on me as well, I worry that the ending is going to be a tragedy 😂 but hope not.

If you are an avid listener, you have to listen to this whole series it is a fresh, brilliantly written story with lots of twists and turns.

I am a Dean Koontz fan and Jane Hawk book 4 does not disappoint. If you like a series and you want to see your characters build listen not only this book by the remainder of the series.
Great combination of action suspense and humanism.

There were times when I almost dreaded to come back to this book. Though it is Jane Hawk’s story, a large percentage of the narrative is spent experiencing the viewpoints of some very unpleasant people. While most of them seem to end up getting what they deserve, it seems odd how many of the Arcadian bad guys are themselves very disturbed individuals. The passages with Jane’s son and his very odd caregiver are a welcome relief from the darkness in the minds of some of these other people. Finally, it is quite amazing how much has happened in the story in just a few months.

Dean Koontz is just soooo great at telling this compelling thriller. His attention to detail and the richness of his descriptions makes him one of the best writers of our time.

As I have come to expect, this has been a thrilling ride in the Jane Hawk roller coaster run. As can be expected by now as well, this is a chapter in the series that started immediately after the close of the previous instalment, and closed with an opening for the next book in the series. I can’t wait to pick up the next book!!!
