À propos de cet audio

A wonderful combination of mystery, historical intrigue, and love, written by an English/Venetian author, which tells a story of passion, genius and betrayal linking the present and the past.

Nora Manin decides to leave her fractured life in London to start again in Venice, and there begins to unravel the story of her ancestor, Corradino Manin, the greatest artist of glass that the island of Murano ever produced.

I very much enjoyed this book for its descriptive and textured writing. It is not unlike Under the Tuscan Sun by Frances Mayers. If you enjoyed that book you will no doubt enjoy this one. Its a slow descriptive story.

Very textured writing

the pronunciation of the Italian words throughout the book is embarrassing. Believe me, everytime the narrators said something in Italian, I would howl in agony!!! The one that hurt the most was Giudecca. Each narrator had his or her own way of distorting the name of that dear little island!!!

Grating
