INSTANT NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER

A dismembered corpse is discovered in the vault of a silver shop. The police initially believe it to be that of a convicted armed robber—but not everyone agrees with that theory. One of them is Decima Mullins, who calls on the help of private detective Cormoran Strike as she's certain the body in the silver vault was that of her boyfriend—the father of her newborn baby—who suddenly and mysteriously disappeared.

The more Strike and his business partner Robin Ellacott delve into the case, the more labyrinthine it gets. The silver shop is no ordinary one: it's located beside Freemasons' Hall and specializes in Masonic silverware. And in addition to the armed robber and Decima's boyfriend, it becomes clear that there are other missing men who could fit the profile of the body in the vault.

As the case becomes ever more complicated and dangerous, Strike faces another quandary. Robin seems increasingly committed to her boyfriend, policeman Ryan Murphy, but the impulse to declare his own feelings for her is becoming stronger than ever.

A gripping, wonderfully complex novel which takes Strike and Robin's story to a new level, The Hallmarked Man is an unmissable pick for any fan of this unique series.

The intrigues and Story itself ❤️🙏 - as usual, this series has been written, narrated and delivered as the most perfect, can’t put down Book. Unbelievable, I’m absolutely absorbed into the lives of the characters and what occurs in their daily lives.
You’ve created a series which feels to me that I’ve now become an actual part of not to mention Strike’s relationship with Robin, which once again, you’ve left us hanging ⁉️⁉️⁉️⁉️. 150% out of 100% - Brilliant 😂❤️❤️
Pray you have written Book 9😂⁉️🙏

Truly Brilliant - when’s the next one⁉️

Truely a master piece. These books are always so complex and in-depth. This one had sooo many moving pieces I wasn't sure how on earth it was going to come together but it did and it was great!! Robin and Strike my favourite book duo!!

Great as always!

Writing brilliant. Narration impeccable. Despite my efforts to pace myself, I devoured the book
it in a weekend, leaving at least a years wait for the next installment in the Strike and Robin saga. In the meantime, I expect accommodation searches in Sark to sky rocket.

31 hours well spent. Best Strike novel yet. Enjoy.

I will start off start off by saying that I have very high expectations when I start a Cormoran Strike book. Galbraith/Rowling creates fantastic stories peopled by fascinating characters and she seldom disappoints. I love the mysteries and the relationships, in particular the paramount one between Strike and Robin.
Spoiler alert.
But for the first time I felt annoyed with the relationship thread of the story. Instead of two intelligent adults who have earned each other's admiration and trust through harrowing experiences over seven years, Strike and Robin came across as a couple of flaky teens. Their reasons for not speaking honestly came across as contrived, as did the stretching out of this thread. The ending actually infuriated me. I'm disappointed to find myself disappointed! I still find myself giving a high rating and hoping the author will do better the next time around.
Robert Glenister narrated, as always, exceptionally well. He is the reason I listen to these books instead of reading paper versions.

My least favourite of a favourite series

I liked the case and the character development. There were some funny moments too. Pat a coming in for some great moments again. Now it's time for my second listen and watch for the clues!

Another great book in the series

I will listen to this again and again. It is so brilliantly written I know I will see more in each reread. Rowling is the most amazing modern writer, tying in all sorts of classics and Greek mythology into a modern mystery.

Brilliantly woven story. Captivating narrator.

Great detective story plot with humour, heartbreak and human nature. I adore this series. Narration is brilliant.

Excellent Continuation of the Strike Series

Probably the best in the series so far. Throughly enjoyed this audiobook. Can't wait for the next book. Robert Glenister's narration is at it's usual high standard. Definitely recommend.

Frustratingly excellent

I enjoyed the characters and storyline thank you. The only issue I had was my wife getting mad at me for listening to the audiobook while she had a job list to tell me about.

can't wait for the next edition

I think this might be my favourite of the series. Much more streamlined than the past three books, which were enjoyable but seemed bogged down.

Great story and excellent narration
