I really enjoyed the story—the mystery, the twists, and the narration were all excellent. Some reviewers mentioned inaccuracies with names (like Vancouver vs. Vancouver Island) or trail descriptions, but as a Canadian, that didn’t bother me at all. It’s a fictional story, not a documentary, and I was fully along for the ride. Thank you

I found myself confused a few times and it could be that I was listening at night and fell asleep and had to jump back to previous bookmarks a few times- but I donno… I don’t usually find myself so lost lol. Additionally, small silly note but the narrator does a hilariously shabby job of a “Canadian” (north American) accent. It made me wonder if us Canadians sound that ridiculous to Brit’s when we put on English accents haha

Overall, this was ok- 5/10. Not terrible, not great. It wont be a particularly memorable story for me.

I almost didnt choose this book because of the reviews. I really enjoyed the story and the narrator did a great job.

This was a very good book, a bonus considering I got it in the Plus catalogue! Worth a credit for sure. Not deep literature, just an entertaining story and good narrator.

I was expecting a good psychological thriller, but wow! There were a couple of unexpected turns to the story that I didn’t see coming.

A plot as twisted as the trails they take place on

loved the reader. did not like that it referred to the west coast trail as being on Vancouver, it is on the north end of Vancouver Island.

I actually really loved this book. I was so skeptical after reading some of the reviews. However, the diabolical plot of this suspenseful storyline kept me glued to my device.
Absolutely thrilling and I could not put it down. So many twists and turns and had me guessing until the end.
People can change and circumstances can change. It goes to show that you never should underestimate what anyone is capable of doing.
I very much liked the man character. I think she did what she did in order to survive. She was brilliant in getting her life together.
I will be looking for more books by this author. It was wonderfully narrated and the narrator drew you into the story. Beautiful voice and tone and I loved the ending and the Epilogue.

If looking for an easy read it’s fine but relies on a lot of unrealistic findings.

The story is okay, but being Canadian, it bothers me the way the author talks about the RCMP and doesn't seem to understand the difference between Vancouver and Vancouver Island or how a person would actually get to the trail.
