Histoire
Ordered to hold an abandoned army post, John Dunbar found himself alone, beyond the edge of civilization. Thievery and survival soon forced him into the Indian camp, where he began a dangerous adventure that changed his life forever. Set in 1863, the novel follows Lieutenant John Dunbar on a magical journey from the ravages of the Civil War to the far reaches of the imperiled American frontier, a frontier he naively wants to see "before it is gone".

Histoire
Survival in Man’s Second Dark Age...Three hundred years after the fall of society, the last fragments of civilization are clinging to life, living in the ruins of the ancient cities in nearly-medieval conditions. Technology has been reduced to legend, monsters roam the forests, and fear reigns supreme. But that is just the beginning...The wind-borne spores are spreading, disfiguring men and twisting their minds, turning them into creatures that threaten to destroy the townships.

Histoire
Against the immense backdrop of the American West, Larry McMurtry tracks the Berrybender's as they make their way up the great river, surviving attacks, discomfort, savage weather, and natural disaster. Sin Killer is an adventure story as big as the West itself, full of incident, and suspense, as well as a charming love story between a headstrong and aristocratic young Englishwoman and the stubborn, shy, and very American Jim Snow.

Description
In The Holy Road, sequel to Dances with Wolves, master storyteller Michael Blake at long last continues the saga. Eleven years have passed sub Lieutenant John Dunbar became Dances with Wolves and married Stands with a Fist, a white-born woman raised as a Comanche from early childhood. With their three children, they live peacefully in the village of Ten Bears. But there is unease in the air, caused by increased reports of violent confrontations with white soldiers, who want to drive the Comanches onto reservations.
Disquiet turns to horror, and then to rage, when a band of white rangers descends on Ten Bear's village, slaughtering half its inhabitants and abducting Stands With A Fist and her infant daughter. The three surviving great warriors - Wind in His Hair, Kicking Bird, and Dances with Wolves - decide they must go to war with the white invaders. At the same time, Dances With Wolves realizes that only he can rescue his wife and child. Told with the same sweep, insight, and majesty that have made Dances with Wolves a worldwide phenomenon, The Holy Road is an epic story of courage and honor.

Superb completion of Dances with Wolves
A riveting continuation of the Dances with Wolves saga, much historically accurate as to the decimation of the Indigenous people in North America. Hopefully, this story will find itself to the screen as its predecessor.

I’m blinded by tears
If this was a regular book, the pages would be drenched by my tears. The systemic and extremely cruel genocide of the proud and family oriented indigenous people was gut wrenching to hear. It is systemic destruction of a culture that, sadly, has continued into the 20th and 21st century with the cultural and physical genocide of indigenous children in residential schools. Such a sad ending.
