Not what I expect from JP. Would probably make a decent movie script for Hallmark channel. So many short chapters! Weak storyline and might only appeal to horse enthusiasts.

I enjoyed this story a lot, but ended up getting the novel instead. The narration was robotic and unpleasant, and I really couldn’t get into it. Wish I could return it, I only listened to about 4 minutes.

This was still an enjoyable light horse book, but I had hoped for a little more plot and skill considering who the writer is. It was well narrated though and I enjoyed the characterization

With a name like 'Patterson' behind a book you'd at least expect there to be a good plot with the proper cadence of excitement, suspense and relief. The reader won't find that in this book. Combine that with the mind numbing repetition of 'he said' 'she said' and it fast becomes a struggle to finish. I'll be asking for my money back on this one!

Besides finding some terms and references grating due to inaccuracy, I did not find the characters likeable or their accomplishments realistic. The main characters did not seem to really care for the horses that fulfilled their dreams.

Not for knowledgeable horse people

I found this book very tedious to listen to. Very poorly written. No background introducing the characters. Very repetitive use of words. Seems to be a huge lack of research into the subject matter. I will not read another book by this author.
