For Equine enthusiast maybe?
Not what I expect from JP. Would probably make a decent movie script for Hallmark channel. So many short chapters! Weak storyline and might only appeal to horse enthusiasts.

Good story, grating narration
I enjoyed this story a lot, but ended up getting the novel instead. The narration was robotic and unpleasant, and I really couldn’t get into it. Wish I could return it, I only listened to about 4 minutes.

Still enjoyable, but a bit weak
This was still an enjoyable light horse book, but I had hoped for a little more plot and skill considering who the writer is. It was well narrated though and I enjoyed the characterization

Remarkably bad!!!!
I am starting to think that Patterson would share his name with anyone, regardless of the quality of the book. This book was simply awful…..was not at all researched, had SO MANY things about horses and show jumping completely wrong. The whole plot was ludicrous. At the very least, if they were too lazy to research the show jumping world, they should have had a horse person edit the book……nope. For the record, within the first half hour the main character refers to her female horse as a”colt”. Anyone with even a passing interest in horses knows a colt is a male foal…..and the errors continue from there
I was SO hoping for a book that would transport me into the show jumping world with some accuracy and perhaps a believable and even mildly plausible story line……not even close. Might be the worst book in history

Directed towards equine enthusiasts but not active equestrians
Good book for a reader who knows nothing about equestrian or show jumping. Disappointed in the lack of equestrian knowledge, but great for a horse enthusiast.

Very Disappointing!
With a name like 'Patterson' behind a book you'd at least expect there to be a good plot with the proper cadence of excitement, suspense and relief. The reader won't find that in this book. Combine that with the mind numbing repetition of 'he said' 'she said' and it fast becomes a struggle to finish. I'll be asking for my money back on this one!
