I really enjoyed the characters and was intrigued by the mystery. they set up a really neat science fiction world and I'm looking forward to reading more books in the series. My only complaint is that sometimes there's a little too much hand holding in the walking through of elements of the story. But that minor flaw doesn't stop it from being a great book.
