Ok book, terrible narrator.

Alan Munroe ... liked to ... pause ... between some ... words ... in every ... sentence.
(and it was really annoying)
The voices of the characters were often not consistent, either.
I also didn't really appreciate the soundtrack scream that was constantly repeated.
I really feel he butchered the story with his broken, monotonous style of reading.

Poor Reading

Would you try another book from H. G. Wells and/or Alan Munro?

Not Alan Munroe--Wells, yes.

What didn’t you like about Alan Munro’s performance?

He keeps pausing in mid-sentence. I didn't make it to the end of a great story!

A great story

This is a great story, but the narration isn't top notch. That being said, it's definitely worth a listen!

Might be better if I hadn't seen the movie

I think the book would have been more interesting if I hadn't seen the movie.

Choose Another Version

Good sound quality, but the narration spoiled this classic for me. Random pauses after articles and before and after prepositions started to grate. Juvenile sound effects at certain points were cringeworthy.

H G wells knows great storytelling

It was about invisibly and the reaction of a town and how they delta with it. Cool characters and storytelling without forcing complicated theories

Don't understand why it's a classic

It was tolerable and an ok story but not my favorite. Kind of dull and boring. Will not be looking into other H.G. Wells stories.
