Loved it!

Notebook meets Crawdads
I saw a review somewhere that said this is like The Notebook meets Where the Crawdad’s Sing and I’d say that’s the perfect description of this book. I’m interested to read the sequel.

The stars are aligned
This is my first book by Buck Turner and won't be my last.
This book made me smile, swoon, get teary eyed, crack my heart, think, hopeful, and slightly annoyed with Ellie, mad at her mom and that other person. And, I loved every minute of this! ☕️
I liked The Notebook and Dear John. This gave me that same feeling but also different that I love Jack and Ellie's story. This book feels like home 🌸

A Story that rivals The Notebook
Can you imagine two teenagers from vastly different backgrounds meeting in Tennessee, his home. They fall madly in love but nobody believes them. Just too different, or are they?? You have to read the book for the rest of the story but money well spent. A great read or listen for me, so find the book, you will be spellbound. I know I’ve bought several more of Buck’s books. He brought his A game to this book. Enjoy

Such a beautiful poignant story
This story had a slow burn but once you start listening, you won't stop. In a world of predictable stories, this one had very moving twists. I had tears falling down, as I listened to the last couple of chapters.
I was fortunate to find this gem, as it was on the premium plus options this month. And I'm so glad I did!

Transported me to another world.
I forgot the healing powers of a good book and how it can transport you to another world. For 3 days I enjoyed diving into this audiobook while I left my busy life behind. The fact that I chose to listen to this over watching TV in the evening was a sure sign that I was completely taken by the characters.

A feel-good love story
This was an enjoyable listen and a lovely story. It didn’t necessarily keep me riveted or impact me deeply, but I did appreciate it for the storytelling and loved how it wrapped up.

Poor remake of the notebook
Very disappointed given other reviews. Poor structure and character development, incredibly predictable since it was 95% a remake of the notebook but only a 10th as good. Would have returned it an hour in but I bought it on sale and so it wasn’t returnable. Don’t bother.

Disappointing
Story started well enough but became nearly insufferable in the second half. Lots of whiney dialogue, women giving up professional dreams in exchange for everlasting love …. boooring. Waste of time
