À propos de cet audio

What would you do if there weren't any consequences?

After 20 years on the force, Detective Chief Inspector Jack Logan thinks he has seen it all.

He is wrong.

When a nurse is murdered on her way home from nightshift, Jack and his team go on the hunt for her killer.

As more victims are uncovered, Jack finds himself tracking a murderer afflicted by a unique psychosis - one that leaves him free to maim and kill without a shred of remorse.

Facing a new type of killer in an unfamiliar city, DCI Jack Logan is about to be pushed to his limits, before being forced to realize just how little he truly knows.

The Killing Code is the third DCI Jack Logan crime thriller, and perfect for fans of Ian Rankin, Chris Brookmyre, and LJ Ross.

I really enjoy this series of books, especially because they are Scottish. The narrator is awesome, he commands every local accent which are a few but I'm never in doubt as to who he is portraying. I'm listening to book number 4 and plan to carry on with the series.

Excellent Series

Even though I had figured out the identity of the killer midway through the book I find Kirk’s to be an enjoyable read. The narration was excellent. Looking forward to the next book in this series. I

Round it up to 3.5. It's a solid "pretty good!" Nothing that I'd write home about, but enjoyable and engaging enough. I'd be happy to listen to the next book. To me, it is like a book equivalent of an episode of a cop show on TV. And that isn't a bad thing. OK, so maybe it's not the most memorable but it's a pleasant distraction while you're listening to it. Solid writing, characters that can even be likable, and a good mystery.
Edit: Second listen had me re-evaluating my opinion. I was too hard on it. The writing was sharp and clever enough to boost this to a 4.

All defense attorneys are scum, only interested in their paycheck and getting guilty people out of jail. Cops and their instincts are always right even though we are also expected to forgive their f ups.
