Great read/listen
It was a Great story, easy listen. I
truly love listening to Therese Plummer read.
Not sure the ending was enough for me. It felt like it was wrapped up too quickly perhaps.
The only thing I didn’t like was the really long sex scene. Could have done without the details there.
But all in all another great read.

Great Novel
Especially love the narrator. I listen to the narrate for other authors.
The book was funny and then heart wrenching at times. Many twists and turns. A book about holding grudges and how they destroy the individual more than the one they are angry at!

Great story!
I thought this would be a cute, cheesy book but the the characters really took shape and the goodness in each really shone. Really enjoyed it!

Good listen
I’m glad I stayed with it. After listening to multiple vampire books, it took a bit to shift into the “normal”. But the story took shape. It kept me listening. I’ll definitely be checking out more of her books.

Good story..but gave up at the sex scene
Wish one could Fast Forward through the sex scenes. Only looking for a story escape...not a sleazy Harlequin romance. Geez. Too bad..story was decent.

Totally Enjoyed

A delightfully predictable Contemp Fic listen
I have never read a book by Robyn Carr before, so I eagerly snagged this Audible freebie a couple of weeks ago. I didn't know what to expect but I really enjoyed this contemporary fiction novel that had lots of themes for readers to sink their teeth into - complicated friendships, family, secrets, overcoming life's obstacles and some romance t'boot.
It was narrated by the talented Thèrése Plummer and was enjoyable predictable. I enjoyed Carr's easy-going writing style and her characters (I always like it when secondary characters are more than passing players in the story) even though I didn't always like her main characters' choices or attitudes.
The plot stays fairly shallow in its exploration of the themes, but I enjoyed this lighter contemporary fiction read about friendship and forgiveness and plan to listen to more of Carr's work.
