Honouring of the forgotten WISDOM OF ancient women
As a non academic historian I am and always have been drawn to the mystical stories & lore of the ancient Celts ...thus when I stumbled across This novel I was intrigued (honestly most had to start with the notion of pendragon n such ). The book took me sometime BE4 I became truly enchanted with it. As albeit the narrator was spellbinding it was the voice and shriek of young Laugoryth that often put me off. Seemed these chapters somewhat droned on but I am thkful I was patient because it did NOT disappoint. I especially enjoyed the authors footnote at the end and eagerly await beginning the next BK in series. stick with it. Understanding that the first few chapters set the BK story for the mystical ancient history I truly believe is real. Coming as a pagan who practices deep the ancient ways and honouring the turning of the wheel and all ancient sabbaths it too broke my heart how the power hungry MEN of Christianity beat the religion down the throats of ALL not allowing the balance of one to choose in whom they honour. Not much has changed ...that said there is a definite resurgence of the honouring of the old ways and if books such as these open the door and curiosity of the reader who is tingled by such then that is magick in the works ....words have power !!! Great work great read !

Really fun book!
Loved it and it was a great story! Really interesting and listening to the note of the author at the end really blew me away! Great history and can't wait to read the forgotten kingdom!

Magical
This has been, by far, one of my favourite audiobooks I have ever listened to and The Lost Queen is now one of my favourite books.
To any who enjoy a bit of history, a bit of magic, myth, legend, strong women, binding family ties, fantastic writing, and excellent narration I cannot recommend this enough.

Next we need a TV series!
This historical fiction novel is beautifully written. Keeping the reader on their toes with twists and turns and so much emotion! I found myself more excited to drive to work everyday so that I could keep up with Languoreth’s life. Definitely recommend!

Fabulous Book!
I loved the story and the wonderful narration. This book held my attention from the first page to the last. The author is very gifted in her writing with beautiful descriptions and her ability to evoke so much emotion. I hope there's a sequel coming soon.

Truly captivating.
I loved this book. As an aspiring author of historical fiction myself, I have a tremendous amount of respect for the research that went into this tale. but as a reader of the genre i was swept away by the language, Signe Pike's finely honed art of crafting wonderful characters and the magic of a time we can only imagine because so much if it is lost to memory now. The reader's skill at voices both male and female, her accent and wonderfully influxuating voice pulled me right into the century and Langoreth's world. I cannot wait to start The Lost Kingdom.

Phenomenal Story!
This was such an enjoyable audio book. You invested so much in main character and it was so easy to imagine what they must have experienced felt. An excellent piece of historical fiction and just a great piece of fiction in general. The narrator is excellent too. Nothing kills an audio book for me faster than an awful narrator. Makes it impossible to get into the story. Strongly recommend this book!
