if you like a book with family issues and a love triangle this is for you. starts out interesting but some parts maybe dragged out. the ending has a twist for sure. good overall book. would recommend.

Liked the story. Narration was very good. Would only suggest she sound a bit less like a BBC newscaster and more like the main character. But bang on job of the other characters and very easy to listen to.

As usual K.L Slater never ever disappoints me. The story was a compelling one and captivated me for the entire book. I listened in one go with no breaks in between. Absolutely riveting.
This story was so wonderfully narrated by Clare Corbett in the most beautiful voice and transported me to every scene.
Wrapped up in a short time yes, but had a good conclusion and nothing was missed.
I loved the Epilogue. Amazing story and Amazing ending.
Absolutely recommend this book. Thank you Audible Plus.

Lots of twists and turns that don’t disappoint. Not a fan of the jumping all over the place chapters I often find it hard to follow but all in all, this was a good read. .

I didn't *love* this K.L. Slater story.. but appreciated the capable writing, involved plotting, great pacing, and thought-provoking premise: a man who arranges his own disappearance but starts a new, secretive life while in hiding.
The author's exploration of the women in the life of 'Rich/Daniel' is top-notch, but the plotline surrounding an abandoned son & police pursuit of the lad is subpar. In toto, however, I enjoyed it.

As to presentation: Reader Clare Corbett is outstanding. There isn't anything in particular in her performance that blew me away mind you.. just an impressive dedication to holding herself back - avoiding over-the-top emotiveness and affected accents. Corbett fails to make characters sound distinctive enough and tends to take injudicious hurried breaths during her narration, but Audible Studios cast this project nicely.

Altogether, 'The Married Man' merits 7.5 stars out of 10. As a 'Plus' option, the time spent on the book is worth it.. but your Credit would be better invested in another Slater book if you're a fan and they ask for one.

I liked this story but found it a bit slow at the beginning. I had trouble with the back and forth storytelling of different couples in the beginning. I couldn’t figure out who they were. I finally read a summary of the story online and that helped me carry on listening to the story. It really picked up about halfway in and then I really enjoyed the rest of it. Well read and presented.
