À propos de cet audio

The complete duet—two books in one volume!

Spite Club

First rule of Spite Club: Don't fall for your fake boyfriend.

When Evie's boyfriend cheats on her with Nick's girlfriend, they're both angry. What better way to get revenge than to get together out of spite?

But when the ultimate bad boy pretends to date the reformed good girl, sparks fly and all bets are off.

Crashed

Andrew Mason is rich. He's gorgeous. He's a recluse. He's a genius. He's a jerk. The sign he puts on his porch on Halloween makes all the kids cry.

Oh, and a car crash seven years ago left him in a wheelchair.

He seems to think that's going to turn his new neighbor off.

But Tessa is determined to get his attention any way she can. When two damaged people crash into each other, they either destroy each other...or they fall in love.

Okay, I enjoyed book 1. it held my attention throughout. It had spice, emotional layering and some angst. It's a solid piece of writing. Book 2: I really enjoyed it as well. It had emotional layering, some angst and humour. However, there was less spice. I took issue with this because the ideology of the book was that a person with disability can live a life full of wonder, enjoyment and prosper. This I totally agree with. The characters had the ability to have a sexual relationship. Yet, there was one piece of spice and the rest of the book simply noted they had a sex life. What I specifically found odd is that, the book depicted other ways the character with disability was living and enjoying life but seemed to shy away from depicting the sexual aspect of the character. This was a bit disappointing because it was like the book wasn't 'practicing what it preached'. In a sense, it delved into difficult topics full circle but avoided specificity of this aspect of the character. It's frustrating, especially considering it's a romance. and Julie Kriss can write some great love scenes.
The narration is good and upheld the character development and tone of the books.
