I am a big fan of Elly Griffiths books and have read them all. I was frustrated by the reader. She was a good actress and had a interesting characterization but herwhispered dynamic was very offputting, And made it hard to listen for any length of time because of the dampening of the same Ness of the whisper. Towards the end when she lost the irritating whisper a bit it was much better. I think a better Director would have got a great performance out of her. Variety of voice and pacing is necessary in any performance.
