Wow just wow 🤯 I thought I had guessed everything that was basically going to happen in this book but Nope! I’m an idiot because I did Not expect the turn this book had!

This series is epic, the world building & the love story! I don’t think I’ve ever read such a top tier series!

Omg I wasn’t expecting that ending

Cas’s character took a complete 180. Kieran was barely there and Poppy became a pushover. Kolis didn’t even seem half as bad while Cas was there being a possessive creep. Cas was literally Diet Kolis. So disappointing :(

I have a lot of thoughts regarding this book/series and some of them at this point will not be nice. Regretfully my love for this series is waining. Jennifer said she felt the story just couldn't be wrapped up in this book and we need just one more to resolve the story. Which honestly at this point is a cop out. And it feels like we are dragging this story out in a last effort cash grab.

Absolutely nothing happened in this book until the last 20% of the book. The other 80% of this book was Poppy is stasus and Cas throwing temper tantrums with the main characters all having extreme character regression. And Keiran wasn't even around, again, and was just being emotionaly used when he was. The mini reunions with the prequel crossover characters also barely added to the storyline. Nothing was explored, it was all surface level.

Really this was an excessive amount of dialog that didn't expand the plot, and often we read Poppy experience something, then go tell Cas, and then go tell the rest of the group or Kieran ...so everything happened three times. Why?

I can't in good conscience recommend this book series anymore. So do yourself a favour and either don't bother or wait and get it from a library. This (not unlike the last retell from Cas' perspective) is a waste of money.

40 hours long, but almost nothing happens

This final book had several slow chapters. The only thing that helped me push through the slow moments was the great narration. Such a disappointing ending to a series I liked.
