Romona Master is a terrible narrator
The first set of books in this super box set is so poorly narrated by Romona Master that it is almost unlistenable. Her delivery is as though she is reading the material for the first time and is surprised by every sentence. Her cadence and inflection is so far off base it’s as though a 15 year old is performing for her class.
The only thing that got me through was the knowledge that 2 other narrators would take over, but I was close to abandoning the book.
The rest of the series is 4/5 Star EOTWAWKI stuff that I love.

This was difficult to force myself to listen...
I love emp stories but the narrator should not try to imitate a man's voice.
She tried but ended sounding like a gargled irritating voice. The stories also did not made me sympathetic for the main protagonist.

Just couldn't do it

Not well researched by the writers
I did not like these books, more suited to a young teenager. Many many things were inaccurate and just plain silly!
A passenger jet with an ignition key, Seriously?? Here just take my antique aircraft because I’m a nice guy??

You feel the tension

This group of stories reignited my fears of an EMP. This sounds like a bad thing but isn’t that what good writing should do? Elicited strong emotional responses from the reader. The only criticism I would give is that I felt there was room for more of a negative impact to some of the characters in one or two of the stories, not everything would be a safe ending in these scenarios.

Unbelievable
Many errors and unbelievable moments. Things Kate did where just ridiculous at times wasting ammunition the kids being tied up but being able to run away troopers not digging out their building and many more

It's quite terrible. Not worth your time
The first series I wasn't a big fan of because everyone and everyone was rather redundant, but it was tolerable.
The second series I genuinely cannot stand, I've fallen asleep three times listening to it. It is one of the most ridiculous books ever.
Honestly given up at this point.
