The sideroads take him past a purple school bus parked in a field that he has walked past many times before but never looked inside. This time he feels an inexplicable urge to do so and finds the corpse of an older woman in the back of the bus with a Bowie knife stuck in her chest.
Our protagonist tries to unravel the identity of the murdered woman, and in the process comes upon other murders, falls in love, and unmasks a Russian paramilitary group. This is a thrilling tale, with lots of jaw-dropping twists and turns that keep the heartbeats of listeners in overdrive.
