Description

It took me a while to learn that sometimes no matter how much–or how hard–you love someone, or something, you have to let them go. You can’t save a sinking ship.

Sometimes, you have someone else you have to be strong for, who needs you more. You make a choice; a devastating one. And you hope, maybe one day, they’ll come back to you.

A disappointing sequel to a cliffhanger.

I struggled to make it through this book. The first one was a slowwww build that I actually almost put down a few times, but once it picked up at the end, I definitely was happy that I finished it. Because it leaves you with so many questions, the only reasonable next step was to read this one. I didn't read any reviews until I was finished, but I am not surprised to see that most people feel the same way. ***slight spoiler warning***

-

This sequel is a happy ending to a tragic first book, but I think that is the only positive thing I will give it.
- The narrator is so hard to listen to. Her whiny, melodramatic voice, trying to emphasize the emotion in every single word literally had my eyes rolling into the back of my head on multiple occasions
- The "love" between the characters is... so clingy and cringy - it was too much for me and so unrealistic
- There is 0 character development
- It is honestly just boring

I am assuming you'll likely read this book regardless, because if you've read the first one, you will need to know how the story ends. Just keep it mind that you might end off feeling.. well.. disappointed.
