Description
Alisha Rai returns with the first book in her sizzling new Modern Love series, in which two rival dating-app creators find themselves at odds in the boardroom but in sync in the bedroom.
Rhiannon Hunter may have revolutionized romance in the digital world, but in real life she only swipes right on her career - and the occasional hookup. The cynical dating app creator controls her love life with a few key rules:
- Nude pics are by invitation only
- If someone stands you up, block them with extreme prejudice
- Protect your heart
Only there aren't any rules to govern her attraction to her newest match, former pro-football player Samson Lima. The sexy and seemingly sweet hunk woos her one magical night...and disappears.
Rhi thought she'd buried her hurt over Samson ghosting her, until he suddenly surfaces months later, still big, still beautiful - and in league with a business rival. He says he won't fumble their second chance, but she's wary. A temporary physical partnership is one thing, but a merger of hearts? Surely that’s too high a risk....

contemporary romance for anyone
I enjoyed listening to this light-hearted story that actually tells a story without being political, or wants to push a particular point of view. it didn't matter to the character's if you were white , black , pink or green. Love and caring about the people around you is what matters in life.
The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 was that she put that blame all on him, but didn't she "ghost" him too? But I am looking forward to reading more from this auther.

Great story, odd narrator choice
This was a great contemporary romance and I really appreciated the diversity of the characters but I was a bit disappointed that the narrator for Rhiannon isn’t a Black woman. I’m not sure why this choice was made and Summer Morton did a great job, but the story and character felt less authentic. It also made the importance of having a Black woman be the main character and fall in love feel sort of tainted. Otherwise I loved the book and really appreciated this modern love story! Wish I had read it instead of listening to the audiobook.

Cute read
Adorable romcom feat a black woman with a brown man(my fave). Interesting plot but sometimes brought down by the fact the heroine, a dark skinned black woman was hard and callous the entire book. She never softened or felt vulnerable for her hero which I like to see in a romance, especially written by an AOC who isn’t black.

such a great modern day romance
if you want a simple yet very modern romance this is the book for you. The characters and writing had me hooked from the first chapter. If you are someone who loves sappy Hallmark and Netflix romance movies but wish the female characters were just a little more developed, DON'T HESITATE! THIS BOOK IS FOR YOU!
p.s. I've seen a lot of reviews talking about if the main character is black why doesn't she "sound" black? As a black woman who has been asked almost weekly why I don't sound black, I can assure you that black women and any women of color can "sound" a multitude of ways other than the stereotypes that society perpetually gives us.

Cute idea
I liked the story. Cute with a bit of “extra”. But my problem with this overall was and I realize I’m making an assumption here but if the heroine was meant to be black why have a white narrator? As a woman of color if you only hear my voice I’ve been described as sounding shite too but I hated she didn’t sound black at all. It really bothered me and took away from the authenticity of the story. I purposely purchased since there are so few women of color as the lead in romance and I was sad that direction was taken especially since the author is a woman of color as well. IMO. Otherwise, I liked it

Hot. Hot! HOT!
Listen, I love romance novels. Too often...there just isn’t enough spice for me. I know it’s an instant “I can’t read this anymore” when an author refers to male genitalia as a “member”. Member. Why? Who hurt you? Alisha Rai’s Right Swipe is erotic, smart, and most importantly, it’s fun. You fall in love with the well developed characters, you blush at the perfect amount of sexy, and you just want more. Can’t recommend this enough!

Don’t waste the credit
The storyline was weak and I found it very hard to connect to the main characters because they didn’t have any outstanding characteristics the only reason I did not return this book is because I had returned the last one and I felt bad. otherwise I would’ve done

Light fun intermingled with important issues
This was my first Alisha Rai book. I enjoyed the great chemistry between Rhiannon and Sam. Yes, Sam was a bit perfect but Rhia, with all of her issues and baggage, was a genuinely good soul who quite frankly—needed a saint to pull the jaded layers to release the beauty underneath.
Brain injuries and the after-effects of emotional abuse and workplace harassment drives the plot. Personally, I feel that these topics can’t be discussed enough.
Fun, interesting, and beautifully diverse three-dimensional serve as supporting characters. I enjoyed every chapter.

Loved it!
What a great book!! I’m so glad I spent my credit on this book. I loved the banter between the characters, the storyline & the spice in the sexy scenes. I hadn’t read/heard a book by Alisha Rai before. But, now, I’m definitely going to purchase the next book in the series.
