Not a lot happens in this first book. It drags for a long time while attempting to build chemistry between the main characters, but I didn’t really feel anything building between them until the very end. The storyline is almost non existent, it is just a collection of interactions between the two main characters with a bit of plot thrown in. The story only starts to get interesting at the very end and then you have to move on to book 2. The MMC is suppose to be Italian, but the male narrator’s accent flickers between Italian, French, a Scottish brogue and Count Dracula. It was annoying and distracting. The female narrator did a better job voicing the MMC.
