Intriguing Plot
There was good character foundations laid and so I thought I knew where the story was heading. However, I loved the twists and turns of the plot. My heart was breaking as I discovered where it was all heading.

One of the best books ever
This is one of the best books I have ever listened d to. I recommend listening rather than reading - its a powerful story and extremely well written.

Captivating
This is my first Sam Lloyd book and it captivated my attention from the first moment. The narration was well done and you felt like you were right in the center of the storm and intrigue. Lots of twists and turns. I will definitely have to check out his other books.

Not believable
Narration was well done. The story wasn’t horrible, just long winded and I found the entire premise to be unbelievable. I stuck with it because of all the positive reviews, but just found myself eye rolling when the truth was revealed. The last two hours were listened to @ 1.5x just to get it done and over with. The only character I liked was the inspector. Wished he was developed more. Overall I don’t recommend this read.

Too long
This would have been great at 5 or 6 hours but the ramble at sea got to be a bit much. It seems to take forever to gain traction. Well read audio version.
