Naofumi Iwatani, an uncharismatic Otaku who spends his days on games and manga, suddenly finds himself summoned to a parallel universe! He discovers he is one of four heroes equipped with legendary weapons and tasked with saving the world from its prophesied destruction. honestly I've been told many times to read the Manga before I watch the anime and I couldn't do it , I had to listen to this audiobook during work so I could get the full picture and while I will say the narrator had some very hilarious choices and voice for monsters as well I did enjoy it though I loath the spear hero

The narration was how I imagined Naofumi's thought process:

A bitter young adult who knows that he's being treated unfairly and taking it out on others to make himself feel better.

I watched the anime first and the whole part in the ore mine with Raphtalia confused me. Hearing it made it make sense to me.

The Otaku in me is Satisfied.

the narrator is clearly still finding his feer, i dont know if it was his first time reading a light novel, but the sound cues and voice tones were all over the place.


otherwise this is a great story. this is the original work that came before the manga and the anime.

The narrators female voices are incredibly irritating. Can’t listen to the nonstop high falsetto that he does
