Better than the first series!
The story here picks right up from the end of the first series which I would list as ok. This series actually had far more interesting world and building and character development for my taste. The main cast is large and really helps tell backstory furthering the current timeline plots in the books forward.
Sadly again the narrator here is a bit one toned. There is very little difference made between different character presentations. Thus you find you need to rely on the story to tell you sometimes what character viewpoint is being read. His annunciation is very good and he is clear to understand which is always nice to hear.
Overall if you thought the first series as great or ok you will be pleasantly surprised by this listen in my opinion as the author really did a good job here.

Blended family
Excellent 2nd series. I was pleasantly surprised by the unexpected carry over of the main characters. I appreciated how survival was viewed by such characters of different backgrounds. Very well written. I LOL at the origin story of the infection which does in fact appear entirely possible.
