The vocal performance is superb; it’s not easy to give voice to a first-person narrative by one of the most famous voices in history, but Rodska pulls it off admirably. My only complaint is that this version of the book is an abridgement.

Excellent

Prior to entering politics, once of Churchill's occupations was a journalist/war correspondent. So he is an accomplished writer in his own right. Combining that with his key role in WW2 is the recipe for a great book. I appreciate his writing style of focusing on the broad strokes, and then periodically focusing in on exceptionally key events. Also the narrator, Christian Rodska, really brings the book to life.

One has to keep in mind that Churchill is not trying to present a balanced historical account, but instead is portraying events from his own perspective. But regardless of the bias that introduces, as the world leader who embodied defiance against German aggression, his perspective is certainly worthwhile.

Very well narrated, excellent writing style
