It was an interesting take on the male and female psyche and how realization of past miss-steps, stubborn inner turmoil and the eye on "what if I had communicated differently in past years". All of this in a light, somewhat jocular experience with the undercurrent of reality. It was a good listen. Well done.

This book is adorable. The opening scene had my laughing right away. Pippa Grant has a knack for writing hilarious stories that are also charming and sweet. The way Duncan gave Addie space to figure out what she wanted was so lovely. When she finally realized that she didn’t “need” him, that she should still be strong and independent, and still want him to add to her happiness showed such huge character growth. I loved all the cameos of Thrusters and Fireballs characters. The twins make everything funnier. This book felt like a post-Barbie movie representation of “girlhood” and how we can support each other. Loved it.

Who doesn’t want a professional athlete who goes to therapy?
